Gary Allan is a musician who first started off in the honky-tonk circuit playing songs; he was confronted by someone from a record company while still in high school and rejected their offer to sign him. A while later he agreed to join Decca Records in 1996, finally becoming part of a major label. Two of the first singles he came out with managed to climb up to the top 10 and they were titled “It Would Be You” and “Her Man” which were released in 1996 and 1998. When the record company changed into MCA Nashville, Allan decided to stay onboard and kept writing and releasing music with a sound that was undeniably all his own.

Alan released the album “Smoke Rings in the Dark” in 1999 which came with the very popular song “Right Where I Need to Be” which skyrocketed his career upward, contributing significantly to his current fame and fortune. When he came out with the album “Alright Guy” in 2001 fans were still listening because of the fact that his trademark sound has stayed intact. He spent a good part of 2006 touring with the country band Rascal Flatts and has played in front of millions fans throughout his career, establishing himself as one of the most popular and beloved country musicians of all time. He was even nominated for a CMA Horizon award in 2003 which is typically regarded as a huge honor.
